Life’s an eternal challenge, a neverending change of ups, downs, laughters and tears. Join me walking down this musical road of memories, pain, happiness and will. Of gaining strength, understanding and keep on fighting – until finally emerging even stronger than before.
„Seven miles“ is my first attempt of some orchestral/cinematic composing (more below, if you're interested). 🎼🎹🥁🎷🎻🎬 I hope you love it like I do 🤩
Some words about me, the song - and the magical Seven:
I’m usually one of these typical guitar, piano, vocals and some bass & percussion guys. So with this new genre I started again like decades ago, with the same feeling of „Wow a long way, will this be finally something nice…?“
I decided to send my brain off for holidays and just let my heart and fingers do the work. Back and forwards, lots of rounds, restarting, kicking away arranged and recorded parts, that I loved so much a night before. Starting to hate some instruments while adoring others – again just for a couple of days, before changing my mind again and filling the digital trash bin 😉
To make a long story short: Sorry, there isn’t any „I had this idea for ages“. Neither „I always wanted to write something about thy cycle of things and life and bli-bla-blo“. Nope, nada, niente, nix. Let’s call it "composing by accident". When I finished, I just realised: „Okay, it's 7 parts“, and I was laughing, because this is somehow always a kind of magical number. So the title was born.
It would be perfect adding now that it took exactly 7 days, weeks or months to finish it. Let me disappoint you: Just checked it: 6 weeks*. But now it becomes even more funny: From the first start till today, when I uploaded the final master: 42 days. Wait: 42 days? This is real fun (really, I checked this right now while writing these lines). So my journey of life ends with the answer to it all. Brilliant 😂
Okay, I should stop now and let you enjoy the music. I’d highly appreciate your comments. And let me end with this: It was a wonderful journey, some long way I can’t await to walk again.
